Dacoit leader Rambabu Gadaria shot dead
Gwalior, Apr 17 (UNI) Notorious dacoit leader Rambabu Gadaria, who carried a reward of Rs 5 lakh on his head, was shot dead in an encounter with the Madhya Pradesh police in Shivpuri district early this morning, police said.
The dacoit chieftain was killed in the encounter that took place in Amkho-Buxanpur forest area, about 70 Km from Shivpuri, Gwalior Range Inspector General of Police Sarabjit Singh told UNI.
Rambabu was the last among notorious dacoit leaders active in the Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh, while minor gangs were still operating in the trijunction of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
His elder brother Dayaram Gadaria was killed in an encounter with the Madhya Pradesh police in Shivpuri district in August last year, Mr Singh said.
The Gadaria gang members together carried a reward of Rs 15 lakh, Mr Singh added.
