Mumbai, Apr 17 (UNI) In a new twist to the Pramod Mahajan murder trial, the court today found that the content of the threatening SMS, sent by accused Pravin Mahajan to his elder brother and BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, was different from the one stated by witness BJP general secretary Gopinath Munde.

While recording the evidence, Additional Sessions Judge S P Davare read out the content of the SMS from Pramod Mahajan's mobile phone handset of Motorola company.

The SMS stated 'Ab Yachana Nahi Ran Hoga, Jeevan Vijay Ke Sath Ya Phir Maran Hoga' (there will be no pain but battleground, which will decide life with victory or else death). Pravin had sent this SMS on April 15 last year at around 1639 hrs.

Thereafter, Special Public Prosecutor Ujwal Nikam continued his examination-in-chief of Mr Munde.

Replying to a query, Mr Munde said after the incident, health condition of Pramod Mahajan was critical, being the elder member of the family, he had to look after entire family members.

To another poser, he said Pramod's mobile was black in colour from front and silver from backside, and then identified Pramod's mobile phone.

The examination-in-chief has concluded today. The cross examination will be done on April 24.

Earlier, prosecution submitted eight additional documents, including supplimentary statement by Poonam Mahajan, daughter of Pramod Mahajan, the mobile phone of slain BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, the Panchanama and other materials.

Mr Nikam, however, told Judge Davare that documents of Pravin Mahajan's mobile phone has not been received from the company yet.

He told the court the documents are likely to arrive by this evening, so that they will be able to provide them in the court tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Judge Davare has disposed of the application by Sarangi, wife of accused Pravin, stating that she was threatned by some unidentified persons in the court premises on the last occasion, after Mr Nikam told the court that such incidents will not happen henceforth.

''We will take care of prosecution witness,'' he said.
