Cottons by Century achieves 180 pc growth

Ahmedabad, Apr 17: Cottons by Century, a subsidiary of Century Textiles, has achieved a turn-over of over Rs 48 crore during the financial year 2006-07, registered a growth of 180 per cent over the same period last year.

Mr Subrata Siddhanta, Business Head of the company told reporters here today, in a short span of three years, the company has achieved a brand to reckon with among 20-odd branded names in this field.

''Experiencing a tremendous growth of Cottons by Century last year, we have decided with a target to launch around 400 new brand outlets nationwide through multi brand outlets and exclusive brand outlets with a target to achieve Rs 116 crore for this financial year 2007-08,'' he said.

Alongwith this business expansion programme, he also announced the launch of one more new retail initiative in Ahmedabad, in addition to about 200 outlets already existing in about 30 cities, including Ahmedabad.

The company boasts of a wide range of internationally styled cotton shirts, T-shirts, trousers, kurta-pajamas and casual wear. In addition to it, with trendy accessories on offer, it becomes the one stop destination to cater to all men's formal or casual wear needs.

We are offering to our customers world class quality garments in a competitive price range of Rs 495 to Rs 1,300 that would cater to the ever increasing needs of the fashion conscious customers,'' Mr Siddhanta added.
