Cong to move privilege motion against BJP K'taka chief
Udupi, Karnataka, Apr 17 (UNI) Senior Congress leader and former Karnataka Minister D B Chandre Gowda today said his party will move a privilege motion against State BJP President D V Sadananda Gowda for his remarks on the party MLAs during the ongoing Vikas Yatra.
Addressing the district unit party workers' meeting here, he alleged that the BJP leader had said that the Congress Legislators had no locus standi to criticise the JD(S)-BJP coalition Government and the budget as they did not participate in the budget discussions.
He charged that the coalition Government had insulted the Constitutional right of holding elections on time by seeking postponement of urban local body polls in the court. The Government had gone to the extent of seeking postponement on the grounds of rectifying its mistake in preparing the reservation list.
