CM's assistance to journos' families

Chennai, Apr 17 (UNI) Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today announced an assistance of Rs two lakh each to the family members of two journalists who died recently in harness.

An official release here tonight said the assistance was sanctioned to the family members of Journalists S Mariappan and T Paulraj from the Chief Ministers Relief Fund.

Mr Mariappan was working for Tamil Daily 'Makkal Seithi' while Mr Paulraj was employed with another vernacular 'Dinakaran.' UNI
