BSP will create political instability: BJP

Varanasi, Apr 17 (UNI) The BJP today said voting for the BSP in Uttar Pradesh will create political instablity in Uttar Pradesh, which urgently needs a stable single party government.

''Do not vote for BSP as it will create political instability in UP,'' BJP national vice-president Bal Apte told newspersons here.

''The Mayawati-led party is a political outfit where election candidates as well as party workers are treated like bonded labourers,'' Mr Apte alleged.

''Owing to the dictatorial attitude of Ms Mayawati, the BSP candidates in the assembly poll are already talking about prospects of supporting other political permutations and combinations post-poll,'' he claimed.

''In such a volatile scenario where not even the BSP candidates are sure where their allegiance lies in the post poll scene, voting for Ms Mayawati-led party will lead to creation of political instability in UP.'' Mr Apte said ''only the BJP can provide stable, action oriented and corruption free government.'' Over the recent SC notice to Centre and Election Commission on whether a person of foreign origin can hold public office in India, Mr Apte said ''BJP has always believed no person of foreign origin should be allowed to hold a public office.'' Queried about why the BJP-led NDA government at the centre did not enact any law to prohibit people of foreign origin from holding public office, the BJP leader remained silent.
