5 teachers following footsteps of BJP president

Mirzapur, Apr 17 (UNI) Following the footsteps of BJP President Rajnath Singh, several teachers of his K B College are trying their luck in the ongoing Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls from the district.

It is the same college, where Mr Singh had been a Physics lecturer for 25 years.

Impressed by the BJP leader, four teachers and one fourth class employees (chaprasis) are trying their fate in the ongoing polls.

Asharam Yadav of the Geography department is contesting from the Mirzapur assembly seat on a BJP ticket, while Dr Kanrail Singh would represent the Forward Block. History teacher Devendra Dubey would fight from the Auraiya seat on a Congress ticket.

Philosophy teacher Dr Rajshekhar Shukla would fight as an Independent candidate from the Sadar seat, while Subendra Yadav would fight from Mirzapur Nagar.
