Weaver commits suicide

Varanasi, Apr 16 (UNI) Driven by extreme poverty, an aged Banarasi saree weaver committed suicide in Jaitpura area here today.

Azimul Haq (68) consumed acid and died at his house in Kacchibag locality, police said.

Prima facie, extreme poverty was ascertained to be the reason behind the crime.

The body has been sent for autopsy.
