Vijendra Goel becomes Jharkhand's Special Representative in Delhi

New Delhi, Apr 16 (UNI) The Jharkhand Government has appointed Mr Vijendra Goel its Special Representative to be based in Delhi to liason with the Centre and state governments.

Mr Goel, who took over the charge today, said his first priority would be to expedite pending state government projects with the Centre and liaison with various state governments.

A qualified mechanical engineer, Mr Goel had earlier worked as an OSD to former Labour Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. He had also been associated with tourism and hotel industry.

Mr goel, who belonged to Sonepat in Haryana, said while he would be taking up all reponsibilities entrusted to him by Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Khoda, he would be concentrating on issues concerning industrial development of the state. He would study 'good' projects' of various states which could be adopted for Jharkhand.

A sportsman himself, Mr Goel had been associated with various sports bodies which included Haryana Olympic Association and All India Taekwando Association.
