Two injured in fire in Mumbai

Mumbai, Apr 16 (UNI) Two people suffered burn injuries, when fire broke out in a house due to leakage of cooking gas cylinder, at Sumaras Sadguru Chawl, Deonar in eastern suburbs here, at wee hours today.

Fire brigade sources said at around 0130 hrs hours, fire broke out in a room of the chawl due to leakage of cooking gas cylinder.

Two brothers, Prakash Gangaram Kumawat (22) and Narayan Gangaram Kumawat (24), tried to extinguish the fire, in which they suffered 35 and 10 per cent burn injuries respectively.

Both were admitted in Sion Hospital. Damage due to the fire is yet to be ascertained.
