Madhya Pradesh: Tension in Kanasia Naka

Shajapur (MP), Apr 16: Tension prevailed in Kanasia Naka near Maksi in this district when one person was injured and two trucks torched following a clash between members of two communities on a trivial issue last evening, police said.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (Ujjain range) Ajay Sharma said an army jawan, belonging to Fania village, had an argument with a person from Maksi after his vehicle hit him.

Later, the army jawan was beaten up. Subsequently, residents of Fania village set two trucks on fire.

Police force were deployed in the area in view of the clash. The Maksi-resident was arrested. Other accused were absconding.

Police said the situation was under control.
