SP sacks two ex-MLAs, six others for six yrs
Lucknow, Apr 16 (UNI) Taking a stern action against members fighting Uttar Pradesh assembly poll against official candidates, the ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) today expelled two ex-MLAs, six office bearers and workers for six years from the primary membership of the party.
''The decision was taken with the consent of Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav,'' SP state unit general secretary and PWD minister Shivpal Singh Yadav said.
Those expelled include Saikat Ali and Ms Premwati Yadav, former MLAs from Moradabad and Gunnaur (Badaun) respectively.
The others, who have been expelled, are Birlesh Yadav, Samarpal Singh, Anisur Rehman, Mumlukar Rehman, all from Moradabad.
