Show cause notice to Congress MLA

Raipur, Apr 16 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CPCC) has issued a show cause notice to legislator Ram Dayal Uike following his reported remarks against party veteran and AICC Treasurer Motilal Vora.

CPCC spokesman Rajesh Bissa told UNI that party's state President Dr Charan Das Mahant had issued show cause notice to Mr Uike following a letter from Korba District Congress Committee President Pyarelal Kanwar stating that the legislator's outburst against Mr Vora amounted to indiscipline. Mr Uike has been asked to submit his reply within a week.

The show cause notice to the tribal leader, who is considered a staunch supporter of former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, is likely to intensify intra-party problems in the already faction-ridden state Congress.
