Seminar on Telugu theatre art

Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, April 16 (UNI) A seminar on 'Telugu theatre art and its trends' - Theatre Art - was held here, on the occasion of Telugu theatre art day today.

Speaking on the occasion well-known writer Bandlamudi Satyanarayana said various literary forms had been developed drawing inspiration from Telugu literature.

Ch Reddeppa Dhaveji, noted laureate said all the literary forms in Telugu had been imported from Sanskrit itself.

He described the theatre art form as "a living art".

Mr Vadrevu Sundara Rao, another writer, opined that television had given a big blow to the theatre art.

He said the human relations in the society were deteriorating day by day and this also affected the theatre art, he added.
