Schenker India opens office in Bangalore

Bangalore, Apr 16 (UNI) Global logistics major Schenker today opened its office here.

Spread over 28 locations across the country, Schenker offered comprehensive solutions in air freight, ocean freight, inter-model and project business, besides warehousing and associated logistics and supply chain management services.

Schenker India Managing Director Christian Nebel, in a release here, said Schenker India was in the process of integrating around the world and nearly 85 per cent of the merger was complete. The legal merger would be completed by the third quarter of 2007.

The release said Schenker India had a turnover of 130 million Euros and handled volumes in excess of 65,000 TEUs of sea freight and over 60,000 tonnes of air freight. The company also had a 60,000 sqft multi-client facility and was planning to enhance similar facilities in Chennai, Delhi and Kolkata.
