Repoll for MLC election

Guntur, Apr 16 (UNI) The Election Commission of India has ordered repoll on April 25, for the Municipal Ccorporation and the Narsaraopet polling stations in the election to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council from Guntur district local bodies constituency as material irregularities were committed in the polling held on March 17.

The election commission took this decision following a report submitted by Tamil Nadu Chief Election Officer Naresh Gupta who enquired into the allegations of the irregularities.

The election commission has already stayed the counting of votes in the constituency which elects two members.
