Raichur records the highest maximum temperature of 40 deg. celsius

Bangalore, Apr 16 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka.

Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Soraba 2, Honavar, Davanagere 1 each.

Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at many places being appreciably so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and normal over Interior Karnataka.

Raichur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 40 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Wednesday morning: Rain/ thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather may prevail over Coastal Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places over Gulbarga, Bijapur, Bidar, Bellary, Chitradurga, Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural, Kolar, Mysore, Madikeri, Tumkur. Mainly dry weather may prevail over the remaining districts of the State.

Local forecast: Partly cloudy. Thundery conditions possible towards evening/night. Maximum temperature would be around 33 degree celsius.
