Rabri lambasts Nitish for mismanagenent in Janta Darbar

Patna, Apr 16 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly Rabri Devi today lambasted Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for mismanagement in his 'Janta Darbar'.

She alleged that through false assurances, he was misleading the people, who turn up for redressal of their grievances.

Referring to the chaos in the janta darbar, organised here at the Chief Minister's residence, Ms Rabri Devi alleged that Mr Kumar did not even bother to meet the aggrieved people to redress their problems. The people were instead lathicharged by security personnel.

''What was the purpose of organising such janta darbars where instead of providing solace to the common man, they were being lathicharged,'' she said.

On the day of the Janta Darbar, the road leading to the Chief Minister's residence was sealed by the security personnel, making it virtually impossible for the common man to reach there, Ms Rabri Devi said, adding even officers attached with her security cover was obstructed from reaching her residence, situated near Mr Kumar's residence.

She demanded an apology from the Chief Minister for the treatment meted out to the common man at his Janta Darbar and said these incidents were examples of violation of peoples' rights in the state.
