Power supply in city normal, no outages

New Delhi, Apr 16 (UNI) Power situation in the Capital remained normal today with city's peak power demand of 3,300 MW being met and no loadshedding reported from anywhere.

According to the Delhi Trasco Ltd, the main suppliers of power to the city, ''All of the demand of 3,300 MW was met today and load shedding as not done anywhere at nytime of the day.'' There was a total normal situation in electricity supply in the capital, said Delhi Transco Ltd spokesman.

Though some of the generating units continue to be under forced outage but no shedding had taken place till 1500 hrs.

However, to maintain the Grid discipline, shedding in some areas in the evening hours may become necessary, he said adding if so, rotational load shedding in areas having AT&C loss more than 50 per cent might be carried out.
