No decision yet on allowing Yesudas into Guruvayur Temple

Thrissur, Apr 16 (UNI) The Guruvayur Devaswom Committee has not taken any decision so far on Kerala Devaswom Minister G Sudhakaran's letter asking it to consider the entry of noted singer K J Yesudas into the Sree Krishna Temple in Guruvayur, sources said.

Committee chairman Thottathil Raveendran was presently in Kozhikode and the committee would meet only after his return to decide on the course of action to be taken on the letter, the sources said.

Mr Sudhakaran had said that he was writing to the committee of the Temple, which mars entry to non-Hindus to permit Mr Yesudas, who has sung many devotional songs in praise of Guruvayur deity.

Meanwhile, Mr Yesudas was quoted by local television channels as saying that it was not a question of entry to him alone. All devotees of the deity should be allowed into the temple.
