Narcotics case: Court to frame charges on May 3

Mumbai, Apr 16 (UNI) A Narcotic Drugs and Psychothropic Substances (NDPS) Act court will frame charges against Salil Chaturvedi, promoter of Provogue apparel, on May three for his alleged involvement in the Narcotics case.

Additional Sessions Judge P N Deshmukh fixed May three to frame charges against Chaturvedi for his alleged connection with the case.

In 2004, Provogue employee Allwyn Sequeira was arrested under the NDPS Act for booking a courier at the airport that allegedly had cocaine vials for Chennai. Thereafter, Provogue Lounge manager Vishal Meghnani was also arrested.

Meghnani is alleged to have revealed Chaturvedi's role in the drugs case, who was arrested under the NDPS Act. During house search operation, the police had found vials with white powder in the bathroom of Chaturvedi.
