Metal prices rise on good industrial demand
Mumbai, Apr 16 (UNI) Metal prices rose on good industrial demand today along with the London Metal exchange, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange here said.
In ferrous section, copper heavy and brass utensils hiked by Rs 200 each per quintal while copper utnesils went up by Rs 100 per quintal on better buying support. Brass cuttings eased by Rs 200 per quintal on poor demand.
In non-ferrous section, copper wire bars shot up by Rs 500 per quintal on reduced stock supply.
Nickel cathode went up by Rs 10 per kg on good demand.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 37,000, Copper utensils - Rs 33,900, Brass utensils - Rs 26,700, Brass cuttings - Rs 27,300 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 12,000.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 41,000, Aluminium ingots - Rs 14,500, Zinc slab - Rs 19,500, Lead ingots - Rs 10,500, Tin slab - Rs 800 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 2,360 (per kg).
