Mah Opp walks out in council on OBC promotion issue

Mumbai, Apr 16 (UNI) The entire Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Council today staged a walkout in support of their demand for promotions to government servants from the OBC category.

The calling attention notice was given by Sudhakar Gangane (Cong) and others about the the delay in promotions.

However, making a statement Minister of state (general administration) Rajesh Tope said since the matter is subjudice the government can not take any decision.

He said the matter is pending in the High court. However, this did not satisfy the Opposition and they staged a walkout.
