Indigo to introduce flight services from May first

Agartala, Apr 16: The Indigo Airlines, another private airline, will start its operation on the Kolkata-Agartala route from May one, according to official sources today.

The sources said the Spice Airline had also expressed its willingness to introduce its flight in Agartala but had not confirmed regarding the functioning.

Earlier the Surya Airline also had decided to start its operation in various abandoned airports like Kailashahar and Kamalpur in North and Dhalai districts.

After Surya Airline authorities announcement both the airports have started renovation works, including construction of boundary walls.

However, the functioning of the flights in Tripura have not yet been finalised, officials added.

Indigo also has plans to connect Agartala with Imphal in Manipur besides Guwahati in Assam.
