India not to import natural rubber at reduced tariff from Thailan

New Delhi, Apr 16 (UNI) The Government today clarified that there is no such move to import natural rubber at a reduced duty from Thailand.

The Thailand Government during the last India-Thailand Trade negotiating committee meeting here on April 3-5 had requested for market access for natural rubber.

It had raised the issue in the India-Thailand minister level bilateral meeting on April 11, an official statement issued said here.

The Indian side took note of the request but made no commitment, whatsoever, for reduction of tariff on natural rubber, the statement added.
