Jammu, Apr 16 (UNI) Chairman Peoples Democratic Forum (PDF) and transport minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen today said by staying away from Round Table Conference (RTC), Hurriyat is in a way delaying the course of finding the 'permanent solution of the Kashmir problem.' Talking to mediaperson here Mr Hakeem said it is difficult to understand why they shy away from attending a forum which has been created to decide the future of the state by involving people's representatives.

Mr Hakeem expressed surprise over the reluctance of Hurriyat to attend the RTC and said if they are sharing he dais with other public representatives in the conferences like Pagwash what is stopping them to participate in RTC.

''The reluctance reflects that Hurriyat lack the confidence of having a representative character. They are delaying the course of finding the solution of the issue,'' he said.

Asking Hurriyat to read the writing on the wall, Mr Hakeem said it can no more go against the wishes of the people of the state who have lend their mandate to the peace process started by the Union government at various levels including with Pakistan.

He said by continuously staying out of the peace process started at the government level they are proving as the greatest hurdle in the early solution for Kashmir issue.

''A handful of people of a conglomeration can not held the fate of 10 million people as hostage for their false prestige. By isolating themselves from peace process these people are doing injustice to the millions of masses who have suffered greatly over last seventeen years of disturbance,'' PDF chairman said.
