HC asks CBI to submit report by May 25 in Sacha Sauda case

Chandigarh, Apr 16 (UNI) The Punjab and Haryana High Court today ordered the CBI to submit its final report on the Dera Sacha Sauda probe by May 25.

The order was passed by a Division Bench of Justice A K Goel and Justice H S Bhalla while rejecting the CBI plea for grant of three months time more for competing the probe into various matters connected with the Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda, including the allegations of sexual exploitation of female inmates by dera chief Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh.

The CBI is conducting probe into the murder of Sirsa based journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati and also into he murder of ex-dera follower Ranjit Singh of Kurukshetra. The probe into all these cases was ordered by the High Court almost five years back.
