Mumbai, Apr 16 (UNI) Maharashtra BJP president Nitin Gadkari today said that state DGP P S Pasricha owns more property than he has shown and demanded that government conduct a detailed inquiry into the entire episode.

Mr Gadkari, in a release issued here, said ''Dr Pasricha had purchased 485 sq mt plot at Pathardi in Nashik for Rs four lakh in 2000 whose present cost is Rs 20 lakh.'' He alleged that a fertile land was purchased by Pasricha at Mulshi in Pune district in the name of his wife and son at a cost of Rs 70,000 whose current cost is Rs 10 lakh and said that both the information were not submitted to the government by the DGP.

''Dr Pasricha faced allegation of corruption in 1973-74, when he was Alibaug DSP and an inquiry was also started. He demanded that details should be furnished as what had happened to that inquiry and wondered the officers whose basic pay ranges between Rs 400 to 1,200 could make such huge investments,'' Mr Gadkari added.
