Fobaz launches first retail outlet, 50 in offing

New Delhi, Apr 16 (UNI) FoBaz Foto Bazaar (India) Pvt Ltd, digital photos E-portal offering online image solutions like photo sharing, photo gifts and photo cards, today launched its first three stores here and said it will launch 50 more stores across India soon.

Mr Virender Ahluwalia, MD and CEO, FoBaz Foto Bazaar said, ''Not only is the retail landscape in India changing, the traditional photo retailer/studio is struggling to keep up with the new technologies. The vision of FoBaz is to transform the way pictures are looked at in India by making them more personalised.'' He also announced a tie-up with a Mumbai-based company to organise over 100 FoBaz stores in western India in the next couple of months.

The company is on track to have more than 150 stores by the end of the year.

With this, FoBaz, a wholly-owned subsidiary of FoBaz Foto Bazaar, Cayman Islands, has kicked off its retail chain plans in the 300 billion dollar Indian retail market.

FoBaz products and services which so far were available on-line only, through its e-portal at www.fobaz.com, will now be available at retail also.

Customers can also order the products and services on-line and take delivery at any of the company's stores.

Mr Tarun Kapoor, Managing Director (MD) of Kapoor Digital Labs and a FoBaz franchisee here said,''We now stand on a platform where we can reap the benefits of digital photography market in India.'' The company set up a photo e-portal in Octorber last which delivers a host of services.
