Fake currency racket busted, youth arrested

Ghazipur, Apr 16 (UNI) Police today busted a fake currency racket with the arrest of a youth and seizure of Rs 6 lakh in counterfeit notes in Sadiabad area here.

Rajendra was arrested possessing Rs 2 lakh in fake Indian currency notes.

On interrogation, the accused confessed that he conducted the illegal trade with the help of his father and uncle.

However, the duo had already fled.

On searching, an additional Rs four lakh in fake notes was seized.
