Corrupt officers under scanner during NDA regime : Nagmani
Samastipur, Apr 16 (UNI) Senior JD(U) leader and former Union Minister Nagmani today claimed that the NDA government had launched a crusade against the corrupt officers, who swindled funds meant for execution of various welfare and development schemes in the state.
Mr Nagamani told reporters here the mission to clean up the state administration was possible as Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was very firm to ensure action against the "corrupt babus." He said the State Vigilance Bureau, earlier defunct during the RJD regime, had been activated under the present government.
''The State Government has initiated several steps to improve the infrastructural facilities in health, education, road and transport sectors,'' he added.
''An action plan to beautify important cities, including Samastipur, had been prepared by the Government and works in this regard would begin soon,'' Mr Nagmani added.
