Cong observers appointed in Gandhis' bastion
Sultanpur, Apr 16 (UNI) Leaving nothing to chance, Congress has appointed block-level observers to oversee assembly poll and keep rebels under check in Sultanpur, Amethi and Rae Bareli.
According to Congress sources, these office-bearers will update the party high command on a daily basis with poll-related developments.
The Sanjay Gandhi Hospital guest house here has been made the control room for the purpose on the directives of Congress 'star campaigner' Priyanka Gandhi Vadra during her recent three-day visit.
Gandhis' close confidant Manoj Mattu has been made in charge of the control room.
Meanwhile, Priyanka is slated to visit here on April 21 again.
Fifteen assembly constituencies fall under the three parliamentary segments of Sultanpur, Amethi and Rae Bareli, which has traditionally been a stronghold of Congress.
Members of the Gandhi family have traditionally been fighting from this region.
