Ludhiana, Apr 16 (UNI) A local court today directed the Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) to give five days prior notice to the Court before arresting former state Congress chief H S Hanspal in the multi crore Ludhiana City Centre scam in which former chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh is one of the 18 accused.

These orders were passed by Additional Session judge Gurbir Singh while disposing of an anticipatory bail petition of Mr Hanspal.

The judge passed the order after VB SSP K S Sandhu told the Court that Mr Hanspal was not wanted in the case as of now.

Meanwhile the Court adjourned the bail petition hearing of Capt Rajesh in the City centre scam case to April 18.

So far two persons, both employees of a consultancy firm hired by Today Homes and Infrastructures, the developers of City Centre, have been arrested in the case. The Court has already issued arrest warrants against six persons including former minister Chaudhary Jagjit Singh, former Ludhiana Improvement Trust chairman Paramjit Singh Sibia and officials of Today Homes.

Capt Singh who returned from abroad last week and is currently in New Delhi is yet to appear before the Vigilance Bureau that probed the scam and registered the case.
