Computerised FIRs in police stations in Rajasthan in next 2 Yrs
Jaipur, Apr 17 (UNI) The Rajasthan Police plans to computerise all the police stations in the state within the next two years.
Inspector General of Police, Rajasthan (Crime Records) Sudhakar Johari said the computerised First Information Report(FIR) project has been successfully implemented in four police districts in the state and in the second phase, 11 police districts have been chosen under the project.
''In the next two years, all the police stations in the state would be covered under the project... it will help in bringing in the much needed transparency in police functioning,'' he added.
The districts covered in the second phase are Ganganagar, Bikaneer, three police districts in Jaipur district, Kota Rural and Kota City, Jodhpur Rural and Jodhpur City, Ajmer and Udaipur.
