CM thanks PM

Hyderabad, Apr 16 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today thanked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Mantak Singh Ahluwalia for fixing the state annual plan at Rs 30,500 crore.

According to an official release here, Dr Reddy said the Annual Plan for the state in 2007-08 was fixed at an unprecedented Rs 30,500 crore, an increase of more than 50 per cent over the previous year.

The Commission agreed to state's request and increased allocation for AIBP and JNNURM to Rs 1250 crore and Rs 750 crore respectively.

This was agreed upon at a meeting between the Chief Minister and Dr Ahluwalia in New Delhi today.
