Chakroborty elected state IMA president

Jamshedpur, Apr 16(UNI) Dr Sobha Chakroborty has been elected as the President of the Jharkhand Chapter of Indian Medical Association (IMA) while Dr R C Jha became the General Secretary.

The new committee was formed at the end of the two-day conference of the IMA state unit here yesterday.

IMA National Vice-President Dr Ajay Kumar Singh also announced Dr Pradeep Singh, Dr R L Agrawal and Dr Pranab Chandra as the new Vice-Presidents and Dr Amal Patra as the Joint Secretary.

He said apart from the elected office bearers, seven Joint Secretaries and nine Assitant Secretaries would be nominated by the newly elected President and the General Secretary.

More than 300 eminent doctors from the twin states of Bihar and Jharkhand took part in the conference, first of its kind in the state.
