CBCID search houses of the scam accused

Hyderabad, Apr 16 (UNI) Sleuths of the CBCID today raided the houses of the two accused in the sensational Sarva Soksha Abhiayan (SSA) funds scam and seized documents related to their property and bank accounts.

Sources said the sleuths carried out raids in the houses of Balasubramanyam and Ms Sarasa Devi, who were arrested in connection with the misappropriation of funds in the SSA programme and remanded to police custody.

The officials seized important documents to speed up the investigation in the scam.

The state government had ordered a CBCID enquiry into the scam recently.
