Canada throws open gates to skilled workers

Hyderabad, Apr 16 (UNI) The Canadian immigration authorties have thrown their doors open to over a lakh skilled workers in India and several countries of Asia Pacific, Chairman and MD of Worldwide Immigration and Consultancy Services Ltd LT Col(Retd) B S Sandhu said.

In a statement here today he said it was a good opportunity for many skilled workers in India. Those who were willing to work as truck drivers, construction workers, hospital workers, carpenters, mechanical trade workers, general labourers would get visas in a short span of processing time, ranging from few days to a month, he added.

He said since November last year the norms for issuing visas to skilled workers had been relaxed and the processing had been expedited by the Canadian immigration authorities.

According to sandhu third of roughly one lakh visas were going to be issued in a month's time keeping in mind the urgency of the need for Canadian work market.
