Boy sets multiplication record in MP

Indore, Apr 16 (UNI) Ten-year-old Bangalorean Tejas Suresh has staked a claim to the Limca Book of Records by reciting any multiplication table upto the number 10,000 here.

The fifth-standard boy, who is a student of Aloha Mental Arithmetic, performed the feat yesterday in the presence of Limca Book representative Venkat and about a lakh spectators. The Aloha technique enables Tejas to perform even addition and subtraction at lightning speed.

''The previous record was 4,000,'' said Mr Venkat.

Aloha India's Madhya Pradesh representative Rahul Mundda said, ''Tejas wants to become a mechanical engineer. About 30 lakh students the world over are benefiting from the technique. Roughly 1,500 students are enrolled in 17 centres in this state.'' The boy credits his parents and trainer for his success.
