3 cops suspended

Ongole, Apr 16 (UNI) Three police constables have been placed under suspension today on the charges of failing to discharge duties at Prakasham District Collector's house.

Police said, a mentally-challenged person had tried to enter Collector B Udayalaxmi's house last night. One head constable and two other constables, deputed at the house on night duty, caught the person and allegedly assaulted him.

After conducting a preliminary inquiry, the trio were suspended.

The injured person, who fell unconcious, was admitted to Ongole Government Hospital.
