Tata Motors seeks court's intervention

Kolkata, Apr 14 (UNI) Tata Motors has filed a writ petition in the Calcutta High Court seeking its intervention to enable the company to regain possession of its dies and components, lying at the Hindustan Motors' Uttarpara plant, which has been put under suspension of work.

A company's spokesperson today said it was not being possible for the company to remove these materials in safety and security due to the prevailing situation at the HM plant.

In its petition Tata Motors sought directions from the court to appoint a special officer to supervise the removal of the dies and components from the premises of the HM plant at Uttarpara.

It also sought police protection for this purpose.

Hindustan Motors Limited and two unions had been made parties to the petition, the spokesperson said.
