Tarigami, Hakeem invited to Cochin Pugwash Conference

Jammu, Apr 14 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir State Secretary CPI (M) Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami and Minister for Transport Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen have been invited to Pugwash Conference on World Affairs to be held at Trident-Hilton in Cochin, India on April 22 and 23 2007.

The workshop is part of the Pugwash Conferences held earlier in Islamabad and Kathmandu for building institutions of peace in Jammu and Kashmir and improving co-operation and communication across the Line of Control (LoC).

Commenting on holding the Pugwash Conference to discuss various aspects of Kashmir, Mr Yaseen said such for a would certainly help to bring all political leaders across on one table. This would help to discuss different issues that could result in peace and co-operation across the LOC.
