Bihar: Ruckus over-Locked-Ambedkar Park

Gaya, Apr 14: Police today resorted to firing to control an unruly crowd indulging in vandalism to vent their anger as they found the Ambedkar park locked.

A crowd had assembled at the park to pay tributes to Baba Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his birth anniversary today.

Police said the irate mob began damaging the property of the park forcing the policemen on duty to open fire in the air to quell them.

Later, a function was organised after opening the park to pay tributes to Baba Ambedkar.

Meanwhile, the caretaker of the park and a peon were suspended for dereliction of duty.
