Rs two lakh worth equipments gutted at sub-station

Puducherry, Apr 14 (UNI) A fire at Villainur sub-station here today gutted electric equipments worth Rs two lakh.

Sources said the power supply to Puducherry town was affected for over one hour following the fire.

Fire tenders from Villianur were pressed into service to put out the fire.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known, sources added.
