Raichur records the highest maximum temperature of 40.8 deg. celsius

Bangalore, Apr 14 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places over Interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over Coastal Karnataka.

Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Ponampet, Sakleshpura 2 each, Sravanabelgola, Koratagere, Belgaum Airport and Chamarajnagara 1 each.

Maximum temperatures fell at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over Interior Karnataka.

Raichur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 40.8 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Monday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather may prevail over Coastal Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places over Belgaum, Gadag, Dharwad, Koppal,Chikmagalur, Hassan, Shimoga, Kolar, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban, Tumkur districts. Mainly dry weather may prevail over all the remaining districts of the State.

Local forecast: Partly cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely towards evening/night. Maximum temperature would be around 33 degree celsius.
