Power cut in central Kolkata

Kolkata, Apr 14 (UNI) Supply of power was disrupted affecting parts of central Kolkata today following fault in CESC's high tension cables from one of the distribution stations.

CESC sources said after power went off in parts of the posh Park Street, Theatre Road and A J C Bose Road, restoration work had been taken up on war footing. Normalcy in power suppy was likely to be back by 2000 hours, they said.

While permanent repair work would take about 24 hours, CESC, however, did not rule out occasional power cuts in those areas.
