'No invitation received for 3 RD Round-Table'
Srinagar,
Apr
14:
Jammu
and
Kashmir
Democratic
Freedom
Party
(DFP)
chairman
Shabir
Ahmad
Shah
today
said
any
invitation
from
the
centre
for
the
third
round-table
conference
would
be
discussed
before
reaching
any
decision.
''We
have
heard
about
the
third
round-table
conference
being
held
in
New
Delhi
on
April
24
only
through
media
reports,
he
said
adding
he
had
not
been
contacted
by
anyone
so
far.
''Let
us
hear
from
the
centre,''
he
said
adding
the
invitation
would
be
discussed
in
the
general
council
meeting
before
taking
any
decision.
He
said
the
DFP
was
pro-people
and
the
decision
would
be
taken
accordingly.
Mr
Shah
said
his
party
would
support
any
move
that
helped
to
find
a
durable
and
amicable
solution
to
the
Kashmir
issue,
lingering
for
the
past
57
years.
He
said
he
supported
the
peace
process
between
India
and
Pakistan.
However,
he
alleged
that
fruits
of
the
peace
process
had
yet
to
reach
Kashmir
where
security
forces
wer
committing
Human
Rights
violations
and
thousands
were
languishing
in
jails
for
years.
Mr
Shah
said
so
far
a
number
of
conferences
were
held
without
achieving
anything.
The
talks
should
be
serious
and
meaningful
to
find
early
solution
to
the
vexed
issue,
he
said.
