Mulayam pays tributes to Dr Ambedkar

Lucknow, Apr 14 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today said Bharat Ratna Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar struggled throughout his life for making a society based on equality.

''We should resolve to fulfilling his dreams, which would be a real tribute to him,'' Mr Yadav said on the occasion of Dr Ambedkar's anniversary.

Earlier, the CM garlanded his statue at the Hazratganj crossing here.

The Samajwadi Party chief noted Dr Ambedkar fought for the cause of the oppressed people making provision and creating opportunities through constitution for providing rights to Dalits and weaker sections.

''We should forget our differences and work for making India a prosperous country by providing equal opportunities to all sections of society to ensure their proper participation in all sectors, so that we could fulfil the objectives of Dr Ambedkar.'' UNI
