Manipur militants nabbed at Asom

Imphal, Apr 14 (UNI) Maratha Light Infantry apprehended a People's Liberation Army(PLA) militant yesterday, Assam Rifles sources said today.

Meanwhile, four suspected militants were nabbed by a special team of Imphal West District Police and Assam Police from Paltan bazaar in Asom on April 11.

Imphal West SP Clay said two of them were allegedly involved in snatching an AK-47 Rifle from an ex-MLA Radhakishore's escort from Babupara in Imphal on March 7.

The SP said they have been brought to Imphal. Two of them were suspected to be People's United Liberation Front(PULF) cadres.

A special team of Manipur police had gone to Guwahati and with the help of Guwahati police the four were nabbed.
