Inquiry into scam accused's link with Task Force: Jana Reddy

Hyderabad, Apr 14 (UNI) In the wake of finding out the phone numbers of the Task Force officials in the mobile phone of Ms Sarasa Devi, the main accused in Sarva Sikhsha Abhiyan (SSA) fund embezzlement, Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K Jana Reddy today said the police would conduct an inquiry into the alleged links between them.

Speaking to newspersons here, Mr Reddy said the police had found task force officials' phone numbers in Ms Devi's mobile phone. ''We would conduct inquiry into the alleged links between the scammer and the Task Force. We cannot confirm that the officials had links with Sarasa Devi even as she had their phone numbers.'' The Minister said the investigation into the scam had been handed over to the state CB-CID.
